The Heads of Housekeeping Professional Association Kenya (HHPA) has announced its participation in the East Africa Clean Expo and Summit, taking place on April 6–8, 2022. This trade exhibition is recognized as the region’s most prominent event for the cleaning, laundry, and housekeeping sectors. The expo offers a unique opportunity for industry professionals to network, learn, and share best practices.
Established in 2015 as a non-profit organization incorporated under Section 21 of the Companies Act, HHPA aims to train, educate, and develop housekeepers for all industries. HHPA acknowledges the significant shortage of professional housekeepers in Kenya and strives to assist the industry in identifying and addressing these gaps. The association receives support from major hotel groups, industry suppliers, individually owned hotels, lodges, clubs, and other small businesses.
HHPA provides a platform for housekeeping professionals from various sectors, including hospitality, healthcare, institutions, and facility managers, to share their experiences and best practices. The association’s primary objective is to establish an effective and efficient structured program in all aspects of housekeeping service, covering all types of business facilities.
At the East Africa Clean Expo and Summit, HHPA plans to showcase its commitment to the education and development of housekeeping professionals. The association will provide information on its training programs, which include both in-person and online options. HHPA will also host a booth where industry professionals can connect with association members and learn more about the benefits of membership.
HHPA recognizes that housekeeping plays a critical role in the hospitality and healthcare industries, as well as other business facilities. Properly trained and educated housekeepers are essential to maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and employees. Through its participation in the East Africa Clean Expo and Summit, HHPA hopes to raise awareness of the importance of housekeeping and the need for professional development in the field.
In addition to its exhibition participation, HHPA will also be involved in the summit portion of the event. The summit will provide a platform for industry leaders to discuss current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the cleaning, laundry, and housekeeping sectors. HHPA will share its expertise and insights on the significance of housekeeping and the benefits of investing in professional development.
HHPA is dedicated to improving the standards of housekeeping in Kenya and across the region. By participating in the East Africa Clean Expo and Summit, the association hopes to connect with industry professionals, raise awareness of the importance of housekeeping, and promote its training programs and resources.
